Let LaNicia Williams spice up your life with her “Coastal Soul Cooking Class” on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Seaside Library and will be held in the Community Room.
Chef Williams’ specialties include southern-style fried chicken, cornbread, homemade mac and cheese, collard greens, shrimp and grits, and candied yams.
LaNicia will feature cooking instruction and hands-on demonstrations. The afternoon will focus on preparing one of her favorite soul food dishes: Shrimp and Grits.
Participants will turn the library kitchen into a food sanctuary and will learn how to cook a soul food meal that is seasoned with love.
Getting hungry yet?
LaNicia is a resident of Nehalem and is the “maker of cornbread so good that just one piece will never be enough.” She originally is from the Los Angeles area and found her way to the North Coast by way of Seattle in 2014.
The class is limited to 15 people. Register for this special event at the Circulation Desk or by calling 503-738-6742.
